Garden tool swap event

  • 2022-05-14
  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (CDT)
  • Seven locations across Minneapolis

Spring is officially here! To celebrate many of us are turning towards our home and our green spaces. When cleaning out your storage, hang on to unused yard tools and gardening items.

Minneapolis Solid Waste & Recycling and community partners will be holding our second annual city-wide swap event of garden tools and plant related equipment. From first time gardeners to those with green thumbs, all are welcome at this free event.

  • All items are intended to be given and taken freely. Garden tools and equipment are not for sale.
  • You do not need to bring items to participate.
  • You can drop-off your usable garden swap items and leave. You do not need to stay on site for the entire event.
  • Our office will work to get unclaimed items to community gardens after the event is over.
  • Please be respectful of your neighbors. Take only what you need so everyone can participate.
  • Wear face coverings and maintain at least 6 feet distance from others.
