SWAP EVENTS

A swap event is a fun, free way to exchange gently used items with your community. Whether you're looking to refresh your wardrobe, pass along toys your kids have outgrown, or find household items without buying new, swaps help keep usable goods in circulation while connecting neighbors.

4. Take home whatever you need.

Leftover items are typically donated or responsibly recycled whenever possible.

Volunteer

Volunteer to help at an upcoming Hennepin County swap event!

Reuse Minnesota has been selected by Hennepin County as the contractor to coordinate a countywide series of community swap events through June 2027.

We’ll be hosting 12 free swap events across the county where residents can exchange gently used items like school supplies, toys, household goods, and more. It’s a fun and sustainable way to reduce waste, share resources, and build community!

We’re looking for volunteers to help make these events a success! Roles include greeting guests, sorting donations, and event setup/cleanup.
