Fix-it Clinic - Washington County

  • 2024-12-07
  • 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (CST)
  • Hardwood Creek Library, 19955 Forest Road North, Forest Lake

Don't trash it, fix it! Join Washington County Fix-it Clinic volunteers as they assist with simple repairs and maintenance of everyday items.

  • Events are first come, first serve.
  • There is a three-item limit. You must be able to carry items in – no oversized items.
  • Feel free to bring any tools you think may be helpful, however, our volunteers have plenty of tools, so it’s not mandatory.
  • Please bring supplies needed to test the fixes (ex: CD to test CD player, batteries for walkie talkies, etc.).
  • This is a learning opportunity for residents. Come ready to learn how to repair your item.
  • Any items that are not able to be fixed must be taken back with you. The County does not dispose of items that cannot be fixed.
  • No major sewing alterations (only minor repair/mending/hemming).
  • We can’t guarantee fix. While our fixers are very talented, there are some items they will not be able to repair. The county is not liable for items that have been repaired. By bringing in an item to be fixed, you understand that the item might become more broken if it is not fixed.

Last item accepted at 1:30pm.

Reuse Minnesota was founded in 2012 and is a member-based nonprofit that supports repair, resale, and rental businesses, bringing visibility to the reuse sector as a means to lower our state's impact on the environment.
