Swap - Garden tools (Minneapolis)

  • 2024-05-11
  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (CDT)
  • Various Minneapolis parks

Spring is on it's way. To celebrate many of us are turning towards our home and our green spaces. When cleaning out your storage, hang on to unused yard tools and gardening items.

Minneapolis Solid Waste & Recycling and community partners are gearing up for the fourth annual citywide swap event of garden tools and plant related equipment.

Stop by one of seven participating parks: Folwell, Logan, Longfellow, Harrison, Lake Hiawatha, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Armatage Parks.

From first time gardeners to those with green thumbs, all are welcome at this free event.

  • All items are intended to be given and taken freely. Garden tools and equipment are not for sale.
  • You do not need to bring items to participate.
  • You can drop-off your usable garden swap items and leave. You do not need to stay on site for the entire event.
  • Our office will work to get unclaimed items to community gardens or distributed through local exchange groups after the event is over.
  • Please be respectful of your neighbors. Take only what you need so everyone can participate.
