Cake Plus-Size Resale's Fat Beach Day

Fat Beach Days are beach hang events at Lake Nokomis Main Beach in South Minneapolis. This is an informal gathering at a public beach with no tickets or formal RSVPs. BYO (bring your own) Everything! Follow Lake Nokomis beach and lifeguard rules. Come hang in the sun (or shade) and chill in the lake. Visit with some of our Cake staff and other fat babes who come out. ☀️

When you get to the beach, look for the fat folks congregating! =) Cat and team members arrive a little early and claim some space by 1pm. Our team will be there until 4pm. The group grows informally as the afternoon goes on. We love taking a group pic but no worries if you’d prefer not to be in a photo.

There’s a paid parking lot at Lake Nokomis Main Beach as well as free street parking a bit farther back. The beach has old, basic indoor gendered bathrooms and gendered rustic locker rooms.

In the event of rain, cold, or bad beach weather, we’ll cancel these events and post about it on the morning of on social media.

Lake Nokomis beach is very close to our shop and Cake is open Sundays 11-4 if you want to stop by the shop, too!
