Stuff is expensive, and when the time comes to get rid of something, that can be expensive, too. Meanwhile, our landfills are overflowing with that same stuff, much of which is still perfectly suitable for use. To help save that usable stuff--and your wallets--DVR, Bridging, and the City of Apple Valley are joining forces to bring you our 3rd Annual Furniture & Small Appliances Swap this summer.
The Furniture Swap is a two-day event. The first day is reserved for donations of accepted items, and the second is reserved for FREE swapping, open to everyone! You do not need to donate in order to take items. Bring what you can, and take what you'd like!
Staff and volunteers will be on-site both days to help residents transport heavy items to and from the parking lot.

Day 1, Donation Intake Day

Time: 3 - 6 pm
Only accepting donated items this day - no swapping.
Day 2, FREE Reuse Day
Date: Saturday, July 25, 2026
Time: 10 am - 12 pm
No donations accepted this day - only swapping.
CLICK HERE for lists of accepted and not accepted items. All donated items must meet the quality standards set by Bridging, including:
Items must be new or gently used. Free of rips, stains, strong odors, and/or pet hair.
All items must be clean, fully functioning, and in good working condition.
If you're unsure whether an item could be donated, ask yourself if you would feel comfortable giving it to a friend of family member.
All items will be inspected upon arrival. Event staff reserve the right to refuse items that do not meet quality standards listed above.
All items are free for the taking! Our goal is to help all usable items find a new home--and not the landfill--so everyone is welcome to come browse the collection of donated items, take what you'd like, sign the liability waiver at the check-out table, and take home to enjoy!
Items leftover after the event will be donated to Bridging.
