Swap - Kitchen gadgets (Hennepin County)

Join us for a free community Swap-It event focused on kitchen gadgets! Bring gently used items you no longer need and take home something new-to-you, all at no cost! Swaps are a fun and sustainable way to reduce waste, share resources, and connect with others in your community.

You don’t have to bring anything to participate — everyone is welcome!

Kitchen gadgets

Saturday, November 7 from noon to 2 p.m. | Oak Grove Presbyterian Church

  • Final items accepted at 1:30 p.m.
  • Early drop off: Friday, November 6, 1 to 3 p.m. (no swapping)

Accepted items

  • Bakeware including cookie sheets and muffin tins
  • Cookware including pots and pans (non-stick items must have minimal or no scratching)
  • Countertop appliances including air fryers, blenders, coffee makers. crock pots, food processors, mixers, pressure cookers, rice cookers (must have all parts)
  • Dishes including plates and bowls 
  • Drinkware including cups, glasses, mugs, reusable to-go beverage containers
  • Food preservation equipment including canning supplies, dehydrators, and vacuum sealers
  • Food storage containers (must include lids)
  • Kitchen decor including wall art and accents
  • Kitchen linens including cloth napkins, placemats, tablecloths, towels (no stains or holes)
  • Knives, knife blocks, cutting boards 
  • Mixing bowls
  • Platters, serving trays
  • Utensils including cutlery, chopsticks, spatulas, tongs, peelers, and whisks

Not accepted

  • Broken, cracked, rusted, excessively scratched, nonworking, or incomplete items (missing lids, cords, etc.)
  • Large items that cannot be carried by one person
  • Food
  • Microwaves
  • Plastic water bottles
  • Single-use items such as paper napkins and plastic utensils

What to expect

  • No registration required.
  • Anyone can participate, kids are welcome!
  • You do not need to bring items to take items; everything is free.
  • Drop off items at the welcome table where volunteers will check, weigh, and sort your items. Final items accepted 30 minutes before the end of the event. 
  • Staff and volunteers are unable to help with unloading or loading items into attendee vehicles.
  • Be kind. Take what you can use, leave items for other swappers.
  • Some items brought into the swap may be held and set out later, so that there are items available throughout the event.
  • Leftover items will be donated.
